Mission Upstate: Equipped is designed to be a tool by which local churches in the upstate can disciple and reproduce future leaders. We believe strongly that it is the church’s role to identify those who have been set apart by God, to bring confirmation to this calling through examination, prayer and laying on of hands by the Elders, and then to send them out (Acts 13:1-3). Therefore, being sent by your local church to fulfill the Great Commission is by far one of the greatest honors you could have and the church could have. This, we believe, honors Christ and keeps our focus on the mission that He has so graciously given us.

Over time we believe the Mission Upstate: Equipped will serve as an upstate pipeline for gathering and training future leaders, church planters, and missionaries to send to diverse places around the world.  As Mission Upstate churches continue to plant churches around the world, the students of Mission Upstate: Equipped will serve as the “farm system” to make these plants happen.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:19-20
